Hi there, I'm Alex!

I'm NYC-born and raised, but I have found a second home here in the Bay Area. At Stanford, I studied Product Design for my undergraduate degree ('18) and am beginning Mechanical Engineering for my Master's ('19). In my four years here, I've been involved as a Resident Assistant for 90 freshmen, a volunteer counselor for 9th graders at Camp Kesem, and an unofficial sounding board for my friends. When I'm not in the dorm or lecture hall, I like skateboarding around campus, going on nature hikes, or watching soccer at all levels -- from Stanford to Barca.

I went to the same small K-12 school for 13 years where I recognized every classmate. When I moved across the country to start college here, I knew I would feel alone. That not only meant having to make new friends, but also having the opportunity to grow as a person. Joining gradiant for me means helping students make sense of cultural differences, learn what healthy relationships look like, and potentially finding a new identity.
